Change and Adaptation

Updated: Jan 15

Today is a great day to learn to adapt to the changes in life. We often get trapped in our comfort zone and become stagnant. The worst part of this is that change is inevitable. If we resist change we only cause ourselves more problems.

What we need to do is adapt to the changes. Re-assess and make changes to the changes in life. The Universe will throw curveballs at you to make you grow. Especially when you’re trying to manifest something new. You put that want out into the world and the world will push you out of your comfort zone. It’ll start as a small push and the more you resist it the more intense that push will become.

Our species is an adaptive one. Events and situations have arisen over the millennia that we’ve had to overcome to get to the point we’ve achieved thus far. Adaptation to change is in our DNA. We need to take this concept and apply it to our daily life.

How often do the major things in life go according to plan? If you can’t adapt, nothing will happen for you. For example, when I started building this website I came up across different problems for things I want to offer. I had to adapt and figure out work-arounds for the time being.

That’s what you have to do. Flow with the current of change and adapt to the obstacles. Many times when you do this the manifestations you want to bring into existence will be achieved easier than you expected. Sometimes it’ll be harder, but your confidence in your abilities will increase. How do you feel when you’re challenged and you can overcome it? Change is a fact of life. If we just keep resisting it all we’re doing is hurting ourselves. When we can adapt we can mitigate the damage, or many times, make the change work in our favor.

Do the rivers just stop when they come across something in their way? No! They flow around it, over it, or even flow in new routes. I know he’s been quoted countless times, but Bruce Lee said it best,

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.”

This concept of adapting like water can be applied to every aspect of your life, work, family, significant others, spirituality, you name it. Find that inner aspect of yourself that fears change. Uncover why you’re resistant to it and sit with it. Learn how you can show it that change can be overcome. You can’t stop change anymore than you can stop the rain as it begins to pour. You can resist it, or you can adapt and be resilient. The choice is yours.

Thank you and as always, have an enlightening day.
