Making Changes To Your Vision

Take some alone time to sit with yourself and think of your vision. Is it clear? Is it just a dream or do you have a plan to activate it? Is it your vision because of what you want, or have you been pressured into it? Does that vision still align with who you are now? This week in Deeper Thoughts let’s dive into our visions in life, and how they can change over time.

As we progress through this experience we call Life, we change and evolve. At various stages of our lives we want different things. In our youth, it might be that we want money, but as we get older we want a family, and even further down the road we might want to leave a legacy.

And so too does our vision. For some people it might change drastically, or even into something completely different. For others it just might be smaller changes so it can include a family you want to create and be a part of it. Sometimes the vision stays the same, but the motivation is what will change. We may want to become rich to spite other people because we were told that we would never amount to anything, but as we grow we change our motive to watching to become rich so that we can comfortably provide for our family.

There can be times when the original version of your vision no longer aligns with who you are now, or it might be influenced by friends and family, or society at large. This is why we need to take time alone to check in. Is that dream of yours to become a doctor or lawyer what you want for yourself, or were you groomed your entire life to go after that goal? Is going to college what you want or has societal pressure told you that you “have” to if you want to become someone? Have you changed, and that vision doesn’t call out to you any more?

For an example of how your vision can change, fresh out of high school I wanted to be a high school history teacher, but after several years of college I  realized that I didn’t like all the ridiculous hoops teachers are expected to go through. On top of that I didn’t like that the school system no longer teaches children how to learn, but just to learn what’s on a standardized test. So I never finished. That vision didn’t align with what I believed was important. I wanted to teach children HOW to learn. Not just “facts” that are expected to be taught for high scores to receive a higher budget.

For several years I wasn’t sure what I wanted and then decided after some time working in restaurants that I wanted to own not one, but several restaurants. After a decade of working in this industry though, I WANT OUT! After becoming disillusioned with that, I continued to work in the biz, again, not sure what I wanted until it came to me now. And I’m working toward that goal now. If you’re reading this then you’re a part of that vision.

I want to teach again, but not the conventional things. I want to teach things in the spiritual and occult fields that can help people wake up, level up, and heal. So in my case, my vision started off as wanting to teach, changed to something completely different, and went back to being a teacher again, just with some changes as far as the subject matter.

So take time to go inward and make sure you and your vision are aligned. If not, then start looking into what needs to be changed, adapted, or scraped. Studying and having knowledge of who you are now and becoming will aid in making your vision a reality. In many cases your vision is meant to get you to the part of your path, like a new beacon in the night guiding you until you ultimately realize the one you truly want and achieve in life. So don’t be frustrated when you feel like it keeps changing. Trust your inner compass and you’ll eventually be led to your ultimate vision that will spark a fire inside you that never burns out!

What’s your vision? Is it the same as it was when you were younger, or has it changed as you’ve changed? Thank you all for reading and have another enlightening day!
