Wealth is subjective. To some wealth is massive financial success, while to others it’s healthy spiritual growth. Some people see wealth as having perfect health, and to others it’s having a happy family. Whatever your definition of wealth is, to achieve and maintain it. It requires action and consistent work. You can’t expect it to all just fall into your lap, and if you’re so lucky to have that happen, you still have to work to keep it or else it’ll slip through your fingers. This week in Deeper Thoughts I’m going to look into various interpretations of wealth and the actions you need to utilize to acquire and keep it.
If financial success is your definition of wealth then you first have to take action to understand how money works energetically and in the real world. You have to start thinking wealthily and abundantly while getting rid of your scarcity mindset. You have to open yourself up with several streams of income. This isn’t multiple jobs, although it can be a start. What do I mean then? Create a business and side hustles. Even if they’re small, just start them and grow them until they replace your current job. Start making small investments that you can grow over time. Research and find something that fits your style and risk comfort. And once you do begin to acquire this financial wealth, you have to keep taking action to grow it and not lose it. The stock market changes, your customer base's needs might change. There might be competition to your business.
Even if you are somehow given wealth, via being born into it or having it inherited to you, you still have to take action to keep it, otherwise you’ll just waste it away. Money is like water. It can slip through your fingers if you take it for granted. (For more on the energetic flow of money, read my post titled: The Energy Flow of Cash Flow)
If your idea of wealth is a healthy and happy family, then you need to consistently be taking action to be present with them. Taking time to understand them, their needs, and their expectations. You have to make sure you make them feel seen and validated. You don’t get to slack off just because you have a family. You have to step up to make them feel safe and secure based on your role in the family’s dynamic. You have to keep providing, nurturing, and keeping them safe.
If physical health is your idea of being wealthy, then you definitely have to take action. Yes, some of us are prone to better health due to our upbringing on making better nutrition choices, but even then, when you strike out on your own you have to consistently continue to make those choices. If you’re wanting a more graceful toned body you have to keep showing up for yourself and doing your yoga, Pilates, or whatever your choice of activity may be. If it’s a bulked body you want then you have to keep consistently pushing yourself at the gym. Those muscles won’t develop if you don’t start developing them! And even when you do have the body you want, you have to stay consistent if you want to keep it.
If knowledge and wisdom is your definition of wealth then you have to put in the mental work. You have to study. And just as important, you have to apply what you learn in real life. If you study and do nothing with it, then it does you no good. It’s just knowledge. That knowledge doesn’t become wisdom until you start taking action with it! You take the experience you gain with it and over time you become wise. If you’re studying numerology or astrology, start applying it in your day-to-day life. If you’re studying furniture building, start applying it and build furniture. If you’re studying stocks and crypto, start investing. Many people study spirituality and parts work, but just sit on it and never apply it to heal themselves, when they should be doing it as often as they can. Studying a useful subject or skill and never applying it makes about as much sense as walking 5 miles for a bucket of water only to pour it all over your carpet. Take the knowledge you gain and start applying it!
To many people, a strong sense of their spirituality is wealth. Many people in this field talk the talk, but never attempt to actually walk the walk. I can quote the greats like Bhudda, Marcus Aurelius, Teal Swan, or Napoleon Hill, but it’s just words if I’m not backing it up with action of my own. You have to take action and do the work to heal your inner self. Just speaking nice phrases doesn’t heal you. You have to sit with yourself, face yourself, and love yourself to heal your fragmented parts and integrate them back into you. Saying pretty words online or in person doesn’t make you spiritual. Actually following through and practicing what you preach and living that life does. And like all the other examples I listed above, you have to keep showing up for yourself and be consistent with these practices to maintain it.
As I stated at the beginning of this article, wealth has a different meaning to different people. Some of those are on this list, but there are countless more that are not. But they all have one thing in common. To achieve whatever your definition of wealth is you have to take action and be consistent with it. This is to not only achieve that level of wealth, whatever it may be to you, but to keep and maintain it as well. Action and consistency will always be key for your success on your journey to wealth. Thank you for reading, and have an enlightening day.
