My 2023 Story and What to Expect for 2024.

This week in Deeper Thoughts, I decided to share a bit of myself with you all and give a brief walk through of what I did this past year and why in the hopes that I can better connect with you all. The second half will be an explanation of what the energy will be like for 2024. Much of this is based on numerology and Chinese/Vietnamese astrology, which I will refer to as eastern astrology here in this post. For those who are familiar with these subjects, you’ll have a decent understanding of the terms I’ll be using. For those who don’t, I’ll do my best to explain enough so you’re not lost.

For the purpose of this article I’ll explain the main things you’ll need to understand where I’m coming from:

7:The number of knowledge. Learning new information is easier under the influence of this number.

8: The number of money, power, and karma.

11: A master number, and one that deals heavily with your emotions.

Universal Year: The sum of the year reduced down to a single digit. For example 2023 is 2+0+2+3=7. So 2023 was a universal 7 year. The universal year has an effect on everyone the entire year on the Gregorian Calendar.

Personal Year: The sum of the numbers of your birthday up until your last birthday. Personal years start on your birthday, not the beginning of the calendar year.

Cat year: The year of the cat in eastern astrology. People born in cat years are known for observing and are good at reading the behaviors of others. Cat years come every 12 years and typically those born in a cat year do extremely well and make great strides when the cat year comes around.

Dragon year: The year of the dragon in eastern astrology. People born in the year of the dragon tend to be leaders, and exude an air of power and strength. Just like the cat year the dragon year comes every 12 years and is beneficial for those born in dragon years.

For more context, eastern astrology is based on a lunar calendar, and not the Gregorian calendar most of use in our day-to-day lives.

For those of you who study numerology, 2023 was a 7 year that was about gathering knowledge. What knowledge did you gain? How are you using it to rise up? I was starting to get into numerology and eastern astrology this time last January . I knew about them, but didn't fully understand either. They were  interesting things I wanted to look into but never really had done so until that time. I found out I was born in a cat year and we were going into the cat year, which was supposed to be favorable for me.

Without going into detail, I had a Dark Night of the Soul, the day after the cat year started. I was in my 11 personal year, which is a heavily emotional year for an individual, and this made sense as I studied numerology. I was dealing with a situation and not handling it as well as I thought I was. I was ignoring the fact that I was falling into old patterns.

I hit rock bottom. I hated everything about myself. I was angry about how I was handling things. I'm still grateful that my best friend (with a lot of tough love) helped me to remember all the spiritual tools and practices I had to heal all the underlying issues that were the cause of my pain. These were tools I had used before, but hadn't been using like I should have at the time. I began studying every part of myself. I paid attention to every mental and emotional trigger I had (they pop up a lot in your 11 personal year.) I studied them and sat with them all.

I sat with anger, sadness, loneliness, shame, resentment, & a host of others that's hard to put into words. I kept digging to find the root trauma of those woundings and sought out how to integrate those parts. This is why I constantly talk a lot about parts work and shadow work.

I had to be brutally honest with myself on a lot of things like my habits and coping mechanisms. I had to learn a lot about myself, let go of aspects of me that were detrimental, and unlearn even more. But in the process I grew to embrace more about myself. I let go of the need to always be humble and accept my ego. I stepped into higher confidence and started a website instead of selling on Etsy. I developed a healthy relationship with my inner critic. I began feeling more comfortable in my own skin as I became more authentic.

I studied other things of course, like numerology, astrology and other aspects within the occult. All of which helped me on this journey I've been on this year. Things I can do for extra income and the groundwork I need to lay it all and prepare for it. I've been a mental sponge.

I was in a 7 (knowledge) universal Cat (the psychologists of the eastern zodiac) year and in my 11(emotional) personal year. Studying my patterns and how they affected my thoughts and my emotions. For me it was lined up and timed perfectly for my expansion. So if you ask me if I really believe this stuff, the answer is a resounding YES.

I didn't blow up financially, or with fame in my Cat year, but I went through rapid expansion and have come incredibly far on my journey of becoming the man I want to be. To me this is a massive win that I'm grateful for.

So I'm ending the year by sharing my story of change. I've made a lot of changes in my life this year & I will continue to do so. I'm even better equipped than I was before. I hope everyone reading this ended 2023 with positive change too.

But now we’re in 2024, which is the 8 universal year, and on February tenth will be the start of the year of the Dragon in eastern astrology. So what does that mean and what's to come? Well that entirely depends on YOU.

2023 (7, knowledge) was a year for studying. We should have been gathering as much knowledge as we could about business, ourselves, finances, the occult, anything we can learn about to better ourselves. If you're late to the game you can still study, but you missed the heavy 7 energy.

2024 is a universal 8 year and as I stated above,  8 is the number of money, power, and karma (we'll circle back to this part in a minute). If you've been soaking up all that knowledge in the last year, you better be prepared to start using it. Otherwise, why were you studying?

Take that knowledge from this past year and use it to make that money. We study and learn to improve ourselves. Not to just sit on it and do nothing. For a lot of you that isn't going to be a problem. Many of us have been prepping and laying the foundations to make bank this year.

Now let's talk about Karma. A lot of people are focused on money and not thinking about karma at all. And that's gonna come back to bite a lot of you like an angry dragon.

So yeah, get that money in 2024, but make sure you're not doing anything shady to get it. Best way to navigate this coming year in a way that will satisfy the Dragon, and the Karma? LIVE HONORABLY. Be conscious of your choices so there won’t be any negative results, because in 2024 your karma will hit you hard. To some of you reading who are not familiar with the subject of numerology or astrology, this may seem silly, but imagine this year that a dragon is watching your every action and will make sure you get what’s coming to you, for good or ill.

Living with honor is excellent advice for every year, but it'll be much more important this upcoming one. Be mindful and conscious of your decisions. You can't change what you've already done, but you can be more aware of your actions in the future as you move forward in life.

Many of you won't have to really worry about the karma aspect if you're already doing all you can to live a righteous & honorable life. But those of you who are sweating it, take a look at yourself & examine your actions & their results. Now's a good time to start making changes.

Hopefully this message will reach those who need to hear it. I took what was an incredibly rough start to 2023 and used it to grow myself and my awareness of myself as well as laying the foundation for future growth in the year we just entered into. With 2024 just starting off I hope if you haven’t been working on yourself you’ll begin to do so with the year of karma upon us. Thank you for taking the time to read and I hope you have an enlightening day as well as an enlightening year!
